Hey again!

One thing I forgot to mention on my last post was that I am also going to be posting hair and beauty tutorials and such. Today I'm going to show you how I curl my hair in order to get those soft but still bouncy curls that everyone loves!

I first blow dried my hair and put in some leave-in conditioner (tresseme split end remedy) to give it shine. Here's what that looks like:

Next, I sectioned off my hair into two sections like so:

Once I had done that, I spritzed in some heat protectant (not your mother's beat the heat) and combed it through, then one small section at a time I wrapped it flat around the curling iron (any 1 inch will do, I use a Remington curling wand) for 10-15 seconds. Each curl should have this much hair:

And that should turn out looking like this:

Once I had curled the whole bottom section, I let down the top section.

The next step is basically to repeat what you did on the bottom section, but just make sure you spend enough time on these curls because these will be the ones that show. Here's what it should look like once you curl everything:

The next step is tricky because you want to gently brush out the curls to give them that soft look, but you can't do it right away while your hair is too hot as it might break the hairs. I did my makeup while my hair cooled down, and once I brushed it looked like this:

The last and optional step is to add hairspray and any other product of your choice. I added a small amount of the same leave-in conditioner and some hairspray, and after I went out to dinner the curls still looked perfect:

I hope this was helpful! I love this look because it is not too dressy but it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
I'm planning on posting once or twice a week, but I posted this today because
             1. I just loved the way the curls turned out and
             2. my last post wasn't a typical blog post, it was more of a get to know me one

I'll be back with more tutorials and lifestyle posts soon!
